Plot: The ordinary life of 17-year-old otaku Hajime Nagumo is disrupted when he and his classmates are summoned to a fantasy world and tasked with saving mankind. While his classmates are gifted with impressive abilities useful in combat, Hajime is belittled for only gaining an inferior transmutation skill that lacks any real offensive power.

During an expedition in the Great Orcus Labyrinth, Hajime is betrayed by one of his classmates, plummeting him to the bottom of an abyss. Though he survives the fall, Hajime is faced with menacing monsters and misfortunes that send him spiraling into a grim nightmare. Desperate to live and return home one day, he resolves to fight for his survival—only to meet an imprisoned vampire he names Yue, who is also seeking to escape the labyrinth. Taking an interest in him, Yue and a few others along the way accompany Hajime on his journey to find a way back home, while steadily transforming from commonplace to the world's strongest.

User Review: I absolutely love this anime, and I am not here today to make the most critical and in-depth reviews of all time, as it is a show for light entertainment, not Gordon Ramsay's hell's kitchen and no one is forcing you to watch it (I'm trying to say this stuff isn't so serious that people have to blow up about it). Anyways enough about that and here's what I think.
I am going to be honest, this anime is my kind of thing. I do like a bit of 'OP protagonist who dashes into scenes and save the day', some can say its corny and all that, however I do not care as I know somewhere deep down they like that too ;)
Very enjoyable right from episode one, protagonist gains power through suffering, which I find very cool. I do not really care if its rushed or 'just to give the story a plot'. I find it very enjoyable. Simple as. Therefore reader, give this anime a go before deciding to put it off as you read hate comments and decide for yourself whether it is your cup of tea or not.
Isekai is my favourite genre, and romance and bit of harem to top it off is defintely my kind of thing (and of course slotting in the OP protagonist to the mix).
The story isn't copy and paste of other isekai, each anime has its own story, there may be similarities but its definetly not 'copy and paste' just like this anime. The story is heading somewhere, introducing shadowy characters and atleast trying to get the story somewhere, which I really like.
I am sorry if this didn't turn out to be the best of reviews if you can call it that but thanks for reading this and hope you have an understanding of what I mean.
